What does Resilience Builders do?

We deliver resilience, leadership and psychological safety programs that help people perform under pressure, communicate with confidence and develop healthier, more resilient habits. Our work spans businesses, schools, first responders, sporting teams and families — from online training and webinars to workshops, outdoor programs and multi-day experiential expeditions.

Who are your programs designed for?

Our programs are suitable for organisations, schools, teams and individuals who want to lift wellbeing, improve communication and build resilience in a practical and evidence-based way. Whether you lead a corporate team, manage young people, work in high stress environments or want better tools for everyday life, we have a program that fits.

Do you offer online training options?

Yes. We offer a full suite of online resilience and psychological safety programs including webinars, eResilience, and virtual workshops tailored for teams that want the flexibility of online delivery. Many organisations choose online programs for convenience, accessibility and continuity across dispersed teams.

What makes Resilience Builders different?

Our programs blend science, storytelling and lived experience. Co-founded by Dr David Buttifant and Nick Farr, our work is backed by research, world-class expertise and decades of experience in elite sport, policing, adventure leadership and organisational performance. We focus on real skills, real behaviour change and practical strategies people can use immediately.

How evidence-based are your programs?

All our programs are grounded in research from performance psychology, physiology and behavioural science. Our eResilience online course has been validated through two white papers, and we are in the process (as of Dec 2025) of collaborating with Swinburne University on a research project in relation to resilience and policing.

What is Psychological Safety and why is it important?

Psychological safety is the shared belief that a team is safe for interpersonal risk taking. It is the foundation of trust, collaboration, honest communication and high performance. When psychological safety is strong, people speak up, share ideas and support one another under pressure. When it is low, teams stay silent, avoid risks and miss opportunities. We deliver workshops, webinars and training programs that help teams build this capability.

How long are your workshops and programs?

Workshops range from short 45-minute blocks to full-day and multi-day experiential programs. Online webinars typically run in two 60-minute blocks. Our outdoor leadership and resilience expeditions can run anywhere from a single day to four days depending on the client’s needs. Our Everest Base Camp program is a two week adventure.

Do you customise programs for our organisation?

Yes. Every program can be tailored to your team’s needs, industry, context and goals. We work closely with you to understand your people, culture and challenges so we can build a program that delivers meaningful results.

Do you work with first responders?

Yes. We regularly work with police, emergency services and frontline roles where stress, trauma and decision making under pressure are part of the job. Our work in this space includes resilience training, psychological safety, leadership development and ongoing academic research.

Do you run programs for schools?

Absolutely. We deliver resilience, leadership and psychological safety programs for students, teachers and parents. Our school programs focus on confidence, communication, performance, wellbeing and handling pressure — all taught in a relatable, engaging and age-appropriate way.

What is eResilience?

eResilience is our self-paced online resilience training program. It includes five learning modules, two Resilience360 self-assessments, activity guides, a certificate of completion and The Resilience Handbook. The program is backed by scientific evidence and is designed to help people build practical habits that reduce stress, improve wellbeing and lift performance.

Do your programs include assessments?

Many programs include our Resilience360 self-assessment — a simple but powerful way to understand your current resilience across Physical, Emotional, Social, Spiritual and Psychological Recovery factors. Organisations can also use aggregate insights to support culture, wellbeing and performance initiatives.

Do you offer long-term support after the program?

Yes. Clients often engage us for ongoing training, quarterly workshops, leadership development pathways or repeat programs across different teams and year levels. We provide clear next steps, practical resources and long term capability building.

What outcomes can we expect?

Clients can expect stronger communication, higher trust, greater psychological safety, improved resilience, better stress recovery, clearer leadership habits and more constructive team cultures. Our approach is designed to lift wellbeing and performance — in real life, not just in theory.

Where do you deliver programs?

We deliver programs across Australia and internationally. Face-to-face workshops can be delivered onsite or at offsite venues. Online programs can be delivered anywhere in the world. Our experiential programs run in locations such as Cradle Mountain Tasmania, Blue Mountains NSW, Victoria’s high-country, to Everest Base Camp and other world-class outdoor environments.
